‘Succession’ star Juliana Canfield joins Brandon Sklenar in Taylor Sheridan’s action-thriller ‘F.A.S.T.’

Juliana Canfield, best known for her role in Succession, is now set to star as the female lead opposite It Ends With Us star Brandon Sklenar, in the new Warner Bros action thriller F.A.S.T.
Canfield began her venture in the film, television, and theatre industry in 2018. She bagged a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for the black-comedy Succession. She also received a coveted Tony Award nomination for her performance in Stereophonic. In addition, Canfield also starred in the Academy Award-winning short film The Neighbours’ Window.

F.A.S.T. marks the feature debut of Ben Richardson. The film will centres around a former special forces commando, who is approached by the DA to lead a black-op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers.
Penned by Taylor Sheridan, celebrated for series like Yellowstone, 1923, and Landman, the film will be bankrolled by David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford of Heyday Films, accompanied by Sheridan and Jenny Wood of Bosque Ranch Productions.
Written almost a decade ago, the project was once shelved owing to a ballooning budget and the rise of streaming services. It was then passed to Amazon for a potential streaming release but the rights lapsed, opening the door for a Warner Bros. Discovery revival under David Zaslav, who made the film a personal priority.

Sheridan, though, under an exclusive overall deal at Paramount, was granted a window by the streaming giant to work on F.A.S.T. — as screenwriter and producer. For Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group heads, Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, “The breadth of Taylor Sheridan’s body of work is simply astounding and unparalleled in sheer excellence and consistent quality. With the hugely talented director Ben Richardson behind the camera and the exceptional producing talents of Heyday Films and Bosque Ranch, we are thrilled to have such an incredible creative team bringing F.A.S.T. to the big screen,” they said, in a joint statement.
The film is slated to release on April 23, 2027.
