Gaming | Rockstar Games announces new ‘Money Fronts’ update for Grand Theft Auto Online: All you need to know
Hands On Car Wash in the new GTA Online game update | Rockstar Games
New York-based videogame publisher Rockstar Games, Inc. has announced the latest update to their online multiplayer action-adventure game Grand Theft Auto Online. The update, titled “Money Front”, is set to arrive on June 17, 2025, and will allow players to launder money in the game using various in-game companies as fronts.
The Hands-on Car Wash will be the entry point, with the passive income allowing players to expand their fictitious criminal empire and expand their holdings to include the “Smoke on the Water” dispensary and Higgins Heli tours. These properties will, in turn, boost earnings from the players’ “Green Farm” and Air Freight Cargo, respectively.
The fictitious illegal dealings done through these companies will generate “heat”. If this gets too high, the player will have to lose attention by toning down in-game criminal activities and acting as a legitimate business owner.
This is one of the various activities players can do in Rockstar’s virtual crime-filled sandbox in which players can run elaborate heists, operate underground bunkers, manage their own nightclubs, buy and sell in-game stocks, etc.
The new update is part of the game’s constantly evolving open world, and players can expect new updates in the future.
The update also includes new vehicles that will be introduced to the game, such as the Karin Everon RS, the Woodlander SUVs, and the Declasse Tampa GT—a muscle car. A new Western Police bike has also been added for Law Enforcement enthusiasts.
Several quality-of-life updates have also been made in the game, such as doubling Arena Points, increasing the missile lock on jammer support for 50 more vehicles, including the option to skip certain cutscenes, disabling the Boxville Van Delivery Vehicle from Biker Sell Missions and delaying the global signal timer for Sell Missions in public sessions.
With this update, GTA+ members can enjoy early access to select game features, including the new Överflöd Suzume supercar, a second daily spin at the Lucky Wheel inside The Diamond Casino & Resort, and additional benefits.
While GTA Online is receiving updates like “Money Fronts”, fans of the series are eagerly waiting for its newest addition, Grand Theft Auto VI or GTA 6, set to release on May 26 next year, which will be based in the fictional world of Leonida, a fictional version of Florida, expected to include a dual-protagonist storyline and is set to redefine open-world gaming.
