IMD’s prediction came true
The Meteorological Department had already predicted that after June 14, the weather in Delhi will change and people will get some relief from the heat. At present, similar weather is expected till Sunday and Monday. Although due to continuous rain, people are facing some difficulty in movement in the capital, but despite this, people are enjoying this relief rain.
Temperature and pollution situation
Today, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to be between 36 to 37 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature may remain around 24 to 25 degrees. Due to rain, improvement has also been seen in the air of Delhi. At 6 am, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 139, which is slightly better than before. The Air Quality Index also dropped in different areas of the capital, with Pusa recording 139, Shadipur 119, Punjabi Bagh and Shivaji Park 140, North Campus 129 and F Mundka 125 AQI.
Weather change possible in UP as well
Along with Delhi, there are signs of change in weather in Uttar Pradesh as well. Areas like Jhansi and Lalitpur may receive light rain. However, the effect of severe heat and heatwave will still be seen in many areas including Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra, Meerut and Ayodhya. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for this. Light drizzle has been predicted in Saharanpur and Unnao.
Heat havoc continues in Rajasthan
The heat wave in Rajasthan is still continuing. Red alert of heatwave is issued in many districts including Sriganganagar and Bikaner. The Meteorological Department says that rain is expected in some areas by evening, but till then hot winds and scorching sun can bother.
Yellow alert in Northeast
Monsoon rains are continuing in the northeastern states as well. There are chances of rain in Assam, Manipur and Sikkim even today and a yellow alert has been issued for this. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Tripura and Nagaland. The Meteorological Department has advised people to get information about the weather before leaving the house so that any kind of trouble can be avoided.
