Govt committed to sustainable development of rural areas: Minister
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh said that the state government was committed to the sustainable development of rural areas and is taking concrete steps towards further strengthening the Panchayati Raj institutions.
Anirudh was the chief guest at the traditional fair Baba Siddh Bhalavag organised at Janedghat under Kasumpti Assembly constituency today. On this occasion, he wished the local people and stressed on collective efforts to preserve this cultural heritage. He said an amount of about Rs 50 lakh had been provided to the Janedghat Panchayat due to which various development works were in progress. He also stated that all other demands of the area would be fulfilled in a time-bound manner.
The minister said that solving the problems of the people of the area was his priority and appropriate steps were being taken in this direction. He said that work was being done in this direction to ensure that all the roads in the area were paved. But the local people should complete the paperwork for the road work so that work can be started early. He assured to make various roads of the area paved and construct connecting roads so that the people of the area can get proper transportation facilities.
