Punjab’s AAP govt not developing state, says Delhi CM at Karnal
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attacked the AAP government in Punjab, saying it is acting like a dark shadow over the state. It is not working for the development of the state.
“Certain forces in Punjab are acting like a dark shadow over the state. They are neither focusing on their own development nor cooperating with other states. Punjab needs to reflect on this and take corrective measures,” said Gupta when asked about Punjab, particularly issues like water-sharing and stubble-burning.
She had a brief stay in Karnal while going to Punjab on Sunday. Rekha Gupta was welcomed by Karnal Mayor Renu Bala Gupta, district president Parveen Lathar, former BJP officiating district president Brij Gupta, Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand’s wife Rekha Anand, Haryana Welfare Society for Persons with Speech and Hearing Impairment vice-president and chairperson Megha Bhandari at a hotel near Namastey Chowk.
The Delhi CM praised Karnal city, calling it clean, well-maintained and beautiful. She said, “Karnal is a well-kept city. It has made great progress. Earlier, Manohar Lal ji served as the MLA from here, and now, Jagmohan Anand holds the position. The city and the state are both progressing and it is through such strong organisation that true development is achieved.”
Highlighting the bond between Delhi and Haryana, she said, “The relationship between Delhi and Haryana is one of cooperation and mutual support. Haryana has always contributed to Delhi’s progress and will continue to play an important role in its future development.”
