Mumbai: The 'City of Dreams' has been experiencing pleasant weather away from humidity with heavy rainfalls since midnight of June 15, Sunday causing storm-like weather along overcast skies along heavy rains in the city and in the suburban regions.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is anticipated to face overcast weather throughout the week. Mumbai and its suburbs have been receiving heavy rain since last night. Intense rainfall in Mumbai's Sion and Dadar areas caused road inundation and water accumulation in low-lying regions, impacting Sion, Dadar, Parel, Bandra, Vile Parle, and Andheri.

This caused turmoil among the populace. The Meteorological Department cautioned of ongoing heavy rainfall today for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar, resulting in delays of five to ten minutes on local trains. An 'Orange Alert' has been issued for Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, whereas a 'Yellow Alert' indicates anticipated heavy rainfall in sections of Mumbai and Thane.

The India Meteorological Department has advised that heavy rain is expected in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (Mumbai city and its surrounding areas) over the next 3 hours.
