Pune Tragedy: Old Bridge Collapses Over Indrayani River, 2 Dead, 32 Rescued Amid Heavy Tourist Rush

A tragic incident unfolded near Pune as a decades-old bridge over the Indrayani River collapsed under the weight of a large crowd of tourists enjoying the scenic beauty of the region. The bridge, located in a popular picnic zone surrounded by hills and waterfalls, gave way despite warnings about its dilapidated condition. At the time of the collapse, nearly 100–120 people were reportedly on the bridge. So far, 32 have been rescued, while two fatalities have been confirmed. The NDRF, police, and local officials are conducting intense rescue operations.
