Indore: Corporator Anwar Qadri Still At Large, BJP Accuses Him Of Operating ‘Love Jihad Gang’

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Congress corporator Anwar Qadri, who was booked by Banganga police for allegedly indulging in a conspiracy to carry out religious conversion through monetary considerations, is still at large. Meanwhile, the BJP has accused him of operating a ‘love jihad gang’.

On Saturday, two youths were arrested after a video showed them alleging that corporator Anwar Qadri persuaded them to marry girls from other religions and gave them Rs 3 lakh for this act.

Two cases were registered against the youths under various sections and in both the FIRs, Qadri’s name was added for conspiracy on Sunday.

Meanwhile, BJP city unit president Sumit Mishra accused Qadri of operating a "love jihad gang".

"Love jihad" is a term used to allege that Muslim men are luring women into relationships to marry them and get them to convert to Islam. "Qadri is operating a love jihad gang.

We want police to conduct a detailed probe and arrest him under the National Security Act. His property details and gun licences must also be investigated," Mishra said.
