WATCH: Jitesh Sharma seals another T20 title with a six just two weeks after IPL 2025 triumph with RCB

New Delhi: Wicketkeeper-batter, Jitesh Sharma, continued his strong recent performance. Following a successful title win with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he led NECO Master Blaster to victory in the Vidarbha Pro T20 League in June 2025, defeating Paragariya Strikers by seven wickets.

Jitesh’s team, playing in the final at Nagpur’s Vidarbha Cricket Association, pursued a 179-run target. Their innings began strongly. After opener Adhyayan Daga’s 22 runs off 16 balls, Vedant Dighade and Aryan Meshram built a significant 90-run partnership. Following this, Addhyan Rauthan was dismissed for a low score, while Dighade reached his fifty.

With 51 runs needed from the final six overs, Jitesh entered the crease after the 14th over. He contributed a quickfire unbeaten 30 runs from just 11 balls, including three sixes and a four, culminating in a final six off Kaustubh Salve to secure victory for NECO Master Blaster with two overs remaining. Dighade also made a significant contribution, remaining not out on 80 runs (52 balls, eight fours, four sixes).

Pagariya Strikers had a bad start as they lost three wickets in the fourth over with 27 runs on the board. But Shivam Deshmukh scored 82 runs (with seven sixes and three fours) and Pushpak Gujar (25) and Yash Kadam (16) ensured that they made a comeback. A rapid 23 by Vishesh Tiwari also kept them moving along and they eventually posted 178/7.

During the IPL 2025 season, Jitesh was the fourth top run-scorer in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He got 11 innings and scored 261 runs at an average of 37.29 with a strike rate of 176.35 with a best of 85 not out off Lucknow Super Giants. At the mega auction he was bought by RCB at 11 crore rupees.
