‘Nanga to mujhe…’; This actress got scared after seeing Rishi Kapoor nude, Raj Kapoor later…, her name is…
In the film Bobby, which was released in 1973, Rishi Kapoor had given a bold scene which was much talked about. Aruna Irani was also with Rishi Kapoor in this scene. Now Aruna, who was his co-star in this film, has told an interesting thing about it. Aruna told that initially she had refused to shoot because she was feeling shy. But then Raj Kapoor persuaded her.
What exactly happened?
In an interview to Laharen Retro, Aruna said, “I had refused at first. He comes nude and dries his hair with a towel. He gave that shot. I told Raj ji that I cannot do this. He said don’t look there, don’t look at the wrong things and look at the right things. In the end, I did that scene.”
Rishi Kapoor stood naked
Aruna told that later when both of them were shooting for another film, Rishi had asked her why she was feeling uncomfortable. Aruna said, “I was doing Ravi Malhotra’s film with Chintu ji. He said, ‘Aruna ji, I want to ask you something. You objected a lot in the scene, but I had to be naked — why were you objecting?’”
The actress further said, “I then told him that I was feeling shy. He said that he was getting worried, thinking why you were feeling shy when I was naked in the scene. I felt there was a point in what he said. He was right.”
Talking about Bobby, it was a romantic film through which Rishi and Dimple Kapadia made their Bollywood debut. It was a bold film of that time. Apart from these three actors, the film also featured Farida Jalal, Pran, Prem Chopra, Prem Nath, Jagdish Raj, and Durga Khote.
