He revealed that the Hi Nanna actress, Mrunal Thakur, was the first choice for sports drama. During their candid conversation, Khan shared this eye-catching piece of trivia, leaving fans stunned.

In Salman’s words, Mrunal initially came to his Panvel farmhouse for a meeting regarding the role. The reason why she couldn’t bag the role was due to her physical appearance and suitability for the character. The makers were searching for someone who could convincingly play a wrestler, Mrunal in their idea was unfit for Aarfa’s role at the time. Eventually, the character than went on to Anushka Sharma and she gave a spectacular performance.

Despite not bagging the role in Sultan, Mrunal Thakur’s career trajectory has been nothing short of amazing. With films like Sita Ramam, Jersey, Hi Nanna, Super 30, and Kalki 2898 AD, she continues to surprise fans with her challenging roles and proving her mettle as a versatile actress.
