This country is making dangerous drone army against China, preparing for big challenge in sea, not India or US, it is…
Fed up with increasing challenges from China, such as infiltration bids and breaches of maritime borders, Taiwan has started preparing for war. The country recently tested a drone carrying weapons in the sea. Taiwan is forced to take necessary steps as Beijing sends its fighter jets every day to threaten the country. Taipei is now preparing drones that are being used in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Notably, Beijing claims that Taiwan is its territory and it keeps threatening the country to capture it. Hence, Taiwan is also preparing to protect itself from the coming threat. At least 12 companies from all over the world displayed their drones at the sea drone exhibition held in Yilan. Now, Taiwan is also planning to produce such modern drones on a large scale to safeguard its borders. These drones are very suitable for war at sea.
Taiwan unveiled the Black Tide, a high-speed (80 km/h) sea drone with intelligence, surveillance, and attack capabilities. This relatively inexpensive, stealth drone is designed for ease of production and deployment.
A US-based company named Auterion has agreed to make drones loaded with modern technology for Taiwan. The company has also signed an agreement with the Taiwanese government. President Lai Ching Te has pledged to make Taiwan an Asian hub for drone production. Currently, Taiwan has the capacity to produce 8 to 10 thousand drones per year. The government has set a target of making 1 lakh 80 thousand drones every year by 2028.
To improve competitiveness against Chinese manufacturers, Taiwan plans to prioritise the production of affordable and cheap drones. Currently, the high cost of Taiwanese drones affects their market viability.
