Thirty-five years after his first Oscar nomination, Tom Cruise is finally taking home a golden statuette. The Hollywood icon, along with legendary choreographer Debbie Allen and Do The Right Thing production designer Wynn Thomas, has been selected to receive honorary Oscars at this year’s Governors Awards, the Academy announced on Tuesday. Country music superstar Dolly Parton will also be honored with the prestigious Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her lifelong contributions to literacy and education.
