Meta has rolled out a suite of new artificial intelligence-powered advertising tools designed to enhance campaign creation and engagement across its platforms. The updates include AI-generated video capabilities, branding customisation features, business-specific AI assistants, and new interactive formats.
Among the highlights is a new video generation feature that enables advertisers to convert static images into animated video clips. These clips can include music and text overlays, offering brands a streamlined way to create short-form video content. The feature is currently in testing with selected brand partners.
Meta is also piloting a “Video Highlights” feature that uses AI to identify and display key moments from video content. This allows users to quickly navigate to relevant segments, guided by AI-generated captions and thumbnails that reflect the brand's key messaging.

Another significant update involves enhancements to Meta’s AI image generation tools. Advertisers can now integrate brand elements such as logos and colours into AI-generated visuals. This also includes persona-based text generation for consistent brand representation across campaigns.
In addition, Meta is testing “Business AIs,” tailored conversational bots that respond to customer queries directly within ads. Available in both text and voice formats, these AIs aim to improve customer support and conversion by offering real-time information about the promoted product or service.

Other new features include interactive CTA stickers for Stories and Reels, and virtual try-on options powered by generative AI. These allow users to view clothing items on AI-generated models of various body types.
According to Meta, its Advantage+ ad campaigns are already delivering improved results, with an average 22% increase in return on ad spend (ROAS). The company is continuing to invest in AI-driven automation, aiming to simplify the ad creation process and improve targeting precision.
The new tools are expected to roll out more broadly later this year.
