Pakistan: Several Coaches Of Jaffar Express Train Derail After Powerful Explosion In Jacobabad: Reports
Quetta: Several coaches of Pakistan’s Jaffar Express train were derailed on Wednesday after a powerful explosion damaged the railway track near Jacobabad. So far, there are no reports of any casualties.
According to reports, six carriages of the Jaffar Express train were derailed. The bomb was reportedly planted near the railway track. Jacobaabd, located in Pakistan’s Sindh province, borders volatile province of Balochistan.
The blast occurred near the railway track close to the cattle market in the district, reported PTI. After the explosion, police cordoned off the entire. Authorities are currently investigating the nature of the blast.

Following the incident, train services on this route has been suspended. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
For the unversed. it is the second incident of attack on the Jaffar Express. In March this year, the train was hijacked by Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters in the Bolan area of Balochistan when it was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar.
A massive operation, codenamed Operation Green Bolan, was launched by the Pakistani forces. As per Pakistan, at least 64 people, including 18 soldiers and 33 attackers, were killed.
