Heavy Rain Alert: According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on June 18, there may be heavy rain in many areas of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha. Heavy Rain Alert: As soon as the monsoon knocked across the country, people have got great relief from the scorching heat. In the last 24 hours, good rains have been recorded in many states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bengal, Karnataka, due to which the temperature dropped and the weather became pleasant. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has warned that this rain may intensify in the coming days. Red and orange alerts have been issued for many states so that people remain alert and be ready to deal with any emergency. Heavy rains have been predicted especially in Bengal, Kerala, coastal Karnataka, Assam and Meghalaya for the next 48 hours.

Apart from this, there are chances of heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. In such a situation, while the rain is giving relief, people are also being advised to be cautious due to waterlogging and strong winds.

There will be heavy rains in these states

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for South Bengal, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Gujarat. There is a possibility of heavy rains and strong winds in the next 24 hours. Heavy rain has been warned in Assam and Meghalaya for the next two days. At the same time, heavy rains are expected in different areas of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha today.

Clouds will rain in the Northeast

Clouds will remain in Northeast India for the next five days. The temperature will drop due to rain and the weather will remain pleasant. Due to rain in Assam and Meghalaya, people have been advised to be cautious of waterlogging and rising water level in rivers.

Where will it rain today

Today there will be rain with strong winds in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh. The speed of the winds can reach 50 to 70 kilometers per hour. Clouds will remain kind in these areas for the next few days as well.

Heavy rain from Gujarat to Goa

Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada will experience heavy rains and stormy winds from June 18 to 20. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka are also likely to receive good rains on June 18 and 19.

The earth will also get wet in Punjab-Haryana and UP

Heavy rain is forecast in Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh between June 20 and 22. There will be rain in eastern UP on June 19 and 20, while in western UP, there will be heavy rain on June 20 and 21.

Weather pleasant due to rain in Delhi-NCR

Rain has been continuing in Delhi and NCR since Tuesday night. The Indian Meteorological Department has given a yellow alert for Wednesday. Today, there may be heavy rain during the day or night and winds may blow at a speed of 50-60 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperature will be around 34 and minimum 27 degrees Celsius.

Orange alert in Himachal

An orange alert for heavy rain has been issued for Mandi and Shimla districts of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. A yellow alert has been issued for Bilaspur, Solan and Sirmaur districts. Rain with thunderstorms is expected to continue in the rest of the districts of the state except Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti.
