Law Student Falls To Death From Hostel Balcony Of Jammu University

JAMMU, June 18: A fifth-semester student of the Department of Law fell to death under mysterious circumstances from the balcony of the hostel of University of Jammu, police here said on Wednesday.
Police said that one Vishal Bharadwaj, a resident of Katra, district Reasi, fell from the balcony of Jambu Lochan Hostel, Jammu University on Tuesday night.
He was a fifth-semester student of the Department of Law, University of Jammu.
“The body was shifted to the Government Medical College Jammu, wherein the postmortem was conducted,” said police.
They added that inquest proceedings are initiated to ascertain the actual cause of death.
“It is being investigated whether it was an accidental slip or if some foul play is behind it,” said police, adding the postmortem report is awaited.(Agencies)
