‘Karma is unforgivable’: Ignored Indian speedster’s cryptic post goes VIRAL after Harshit Rana gets green light in England

New Delhi: With Harshit Rana being the 19th player in India to join their England tour, one of the India A players (who were also on tour in England) posted a cryptic Instagram story that promptly led to speculation between fans, on social media.

Mukesh Kumar has played three Test matches and had made his debut for India before Harshit Rana; the former expressed a strongly worded statement on Instagram. Both Mukesh and Harshit appeared in the first unofficial Test between India A and the England Lions and it was where Mukesh performed better.

The game drew since England Lions batted once only, and in this case, the Indian bowlers had that one chance to set something at Canterbury. During the same game play, Mukesh Kumar bowled 25 overs, giving away 92 runs and grabbing three wickets, of which two were members of the top six, including Max Holden, who scored a century. In comparison, Harshit Rana went 27 overs, conceded 99 runs, and could only take one wicket, the one of number 10 Josh Hull.

Mukesh Kumar and Harshit Rana did not play the second unofficial Test and this gave Khaleel Ahmed and Tushar Deshpande their chance. With regards to the intra-squad match between India A and the senior team, the scoreboard was not published and hence it is not clear how both players fared in the game.

‘Karma Bides its time. You will always have to watch out. Karma is unforgiving and always get payback,” wrote Mukesh on Instagram.

Mukesh Kumar debuted in all three forms of the Indian team in the July-August 2023 tour of Australia. He has not represented the national team in any form since July last year, when he was in a T20I series against Zimbabwe. His last Test appearance was in November 2023.

Interestingly, Mukesh Kumar has not represented India ever since Gautam Gambhir was appointed as the head coach in the Sri Lanka trip last year in July.

In the case of Harshit, he got his Test cap in India last November against Australia when the Indian side registered a very successful win in Perth. He later made his debut in T20I and ODI Cricket in a home series against England. Harshit featured in India 2025 Champions Trophy winning team, and played two matches.
