Voter ID Card Making Rules changed: The Election Commission of India has made a big announcement on Wednesday. Which will benefit the voters. There will be no need to wait long for the voter ID card. A new standard operating procedure has been introduced. This step has been taken to ensure fast delivery of EPIC or Voter ID card to the voters. Under this system, EPIC card will be delivered within just 15 days after the name of any new voter is registered or updated in the voter list.
In the last four months, the Election Commission has taken several steps for the benefit of voters and stakeholders. This initiative has also been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the voters. This is one of the various measures taken by the ECI. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Election Commissioner Sukhbir Singh Sindhu and Dr. Vivesh Joshi have played an important role in this. Fast and efficient electoral services will be ensured for all voters. Earlier, it was announced to link Aadhaar and Voter ID card to increase transparency and security in the election process.

Voters will get SMS (Voter ID Card)
The new system will track the issuance of the voter ID card by the Election Registration Officer till its delivery to the voter through the postal department. Every stage will be monitored. Information related to the status of all stages will be received by the voters through SMS notification on their registered mobile number.
Service delivery will increase with data security
ESI has launched the new “ECINet” platform. Which offers a dedicated IT module. The new IT platform will replace the existing system by re-engineering the existing system and streamlining the workflow. DOP’s Application Program Interface (API) will be linked to this platform. So that there is no interruption in delivery. Data security will also be taken care of.
