Bharat Forge shares went up by 2 per cent on Wednesday after the company signed a partnership deal with French aerospace firm Turgis Gaillard. Together, they plan to offer a powerful new drone called AAROK to the Indian armed forces. In a statement, Bharat Forge said, “AAROK is a strong and smart drone made for modern warfare. It can work in tough conditions and help our forces by giving them an edge on the battlefield.”

Following the news, the company’s stock rose to Rs. 1325.05 on the BSE, up from its last close of Rs. 1299.80. Bharat Forge now has a market value of around Rs. 61,886 crore. Around 37,000 shares were traded, adding up to a turnover of Rs. 4.86 crore.

The stock has seen ups and downs, its lowest point in the past year was Rs. 909.10 on April 7, 2025, while its highest was Rs. 1826.20 on June 21, 2024. Right now, the share is not in an overbought or oversold zone, as its Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 59.6.

Bharat Forge’s stock is doing better than its 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, 150-day, and 200-day averages but is slightly below its 5-day and 10-day averages. Over the past year, the stock has dropped about 27.5 per cent, but over the last two years, it has grown by 55 per cent.

What is AAROK?

AAROK is a MALE-class UAV which stands for Medium Altitude Long Endurance and it’s designed to fly high and stay in the air for long periods. It’s built for surveillance and long-range missions. The drone uses special sensors and radar to detect enemy movement from a safe distance, all while staying connected to military control systems. This helps soldiers get real-time updates and a clear picture of the battlefield.

AAROK isn’t just for observation it can also carry and launch more than 1.5 tonnes of weapons. It can strike deep into enemy territory, destroy defence systems, and support army, navy, and air force operations at once.
