Started business by taking loan in 2012
Rajat and Mohit Jain come from a middle class family. In 2012, both the brothers took a loan of Rs 15 lakh from the bank and started the Kimerica brand. At that time Rajat was 27 years old. Mohit was 25 years old. Their father used to run a small factory in which he used to make things like oil, Chyavanprash.
A 100 square feet area office
Both the brothers started working in the 100 square feet area of their father’s factory. Initially they used to make only 5 products like shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, soap and body lotion but as the business grew, they started making many more things. Rajat used to manage the unit. Mohit used to reach corporate clients with sample of their products.
Gradually, this small cosmetic business of both the brothers expanded. Today, this brand has more than 200 products. Their office is spread over an area of 1.5 lakh square feet. 700 employees work here. In the first 10 years, the turnover of the Kimerika brand reached Rs 100 crore. Today, the turnover of this brand has become Rs 300 crore.
