IMC Ladies’ Wing honours women leaders, highlights Nari Shakti

The Ladies’ Wing of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday hosted its awards presentation and AGM for the year 2024–2025. MP and senior Supreme Court advocate Bansuri Swaraj was the chief guest, and president Jyoti Doshi presided over the event. Swaraj highlighted the concept of Nari Shakti. and the importance of women in leadership, and integrity in public life through knowledge and opportunity. The event conferred the Woman of the Year Award to Dr Neeta Warty, a globally respected gynaecological endoscopic and robotic surgeon, in recognition of her outstanding contributions in healthcare and advancement in minimally invasive surgery. The Theme of the Year Award–Dare to Look Beyond was awarded to Karishma Swali, creative director of Chanakya International and founder-chairperson of the Chanakya School of Craft. The awards committee was made up of Vanita Bhandari, chairperson; Parul Patel, co-chairperson; Dr Devangi Vakharia, Radhika Haribhakti, Radhika Kaji and Reena Rupani. After a highly successful tenure, Jyoti Doshi passed the baton to the new President Rajyalakshmi Rao. Anita Chouhan is the new vice president for the year 2025–2026.
