Meghalaya honeymoon horror latest update: In the investigation till date, love triangle was being considered as the real reason behind the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi in Meghalaya. However, the narrative it seems is going to change. Now Sonam’s brother Govind Raghuvanshi has also come under suspicion in this case. Indore Crime Branch suddenly called Govind for questioning. According to sources, this entire case is related to hawala business, which the police is investigating. But with this turn, this murder mystery seems to be getting more complicated.
According to a news channel report, the police had found pictures of torn old 10 rupee notes from Sonam Raghuvanshi’s boyfriend Raj Kushwaha’s mobile, which were used as evidence in hawala transactions. According to sources, these pictures were part of the codewords of the hawala network, through which illegal transactions worth lakhs of rupees were done.
Raj Kushwaha’s confession
Raj Kushwaha during interrogation confessed that he was involved in hawala business with Sonam and Govind Raghuvanshi. The pictures of these notes not only confirmed the hawala connection but also took the investigation into the deep alleys of economic crime. According to sources, the investigation revealed that Sonam and Govind made large-scale transactions through the bank accounts of their relative Jitendra Raghuvanshi. Evidence of deposits and withdrawals of up to Rs 14 lakh was found in some accounts.
Money laundering angle
The Indore Crime Branch has handed over hawala-related documents, digital data, and cash transaction details to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The ED is now preparing to get to the bottom of the matter from the angle of money laundering. The Indore Crime Branch has summoned Govind Raghuvanshi for questioning. Govind’s plywood and lamination business, Shri Balaji Actorio, is believed to be a front for hawala.
Search of Govind’s warehouse
The police searched Govind’s office and warehouse, from where some suspicious documents were recovered. Apart from this, interrogation of Govind’s employees has also started, so that their role in the hawala network can be ascertained. Govind has publicly announced breaking ties with Sonam, but the police is keeping a close eye on his business activities.
