IMD Rain Alert: 6 consecutive days of rain in Delhi-NCR, 3 days of yellow alert; IMD’s latest update for the whole week

There is a possibility of thunderstorms along with rain during these days. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of Delhi reached 34.2 degrees Celsius, which is 4.6 degrees below normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 24.2 degrees Celsius, which is 3.3 degrees below normal.
According to IMD, Delhi is likely to remain cloudy on Thursday and light to moderate rain is expected in some areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted relief from heat by Tuesday 24 June. Similar weather may prevail in Delhi from Friday to Tuesday. The sky will remain cloudy and light rain may occur. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued for today i.e. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Along with rain, winds can blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour during these three days.
The national capital on Wednesday recorded a maximum temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24.2 degrees Celsius. On Thursday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius and the weather department issued a yellow alert warning of thunderstorms and lightning. The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degrees Celsius.
Light rain with thunder and strong winds are expected on Friday as well. The maximum temperature is likely to rise slightly to between 36 and 38 degrees and the minimum to between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Saturday and Sunday. Light or moderate rain with thunder and gusts of up to 50 kmph are expected on both these days. The maximum temperature on Saturday is likely to be between 35 and 37 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the maximum temperature on Sunday is likely to be between 34 and 36 degrees and the minimum temperature is not likely to be between 25 and 27 degrees.
According to the weather department forecasts, light rain and winds are expected on Monday. There is no possibility of any change in temperature. The sky will remain partly cloudy on Tuesday, but there is no chance of rain. There is no possibility of any change in the maximum temperature while the minimum temperature may increase by one degree and remain between 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.
Air quality remained in satisfactory category
Delhi was recorded in the satisfactory category as the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 99 at 9 am at 9 am. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, AQI between zero to 50 is considered ‘good’, between 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, between 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, between 201 to 300 ‘bad’, between 301 to 400 ‘very bad’ and between 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
