Friend Dupes 2 Men Of ₹1 Lakh Diamond In MP’s Panna

Panna (Madhya Pradesh): Two men from Panna, have accused their friend of cheating them by not returning a 4.85-carat diamond they gave him to sell on Thursday.

After waiting for weeks without getting their diamond back, they submitted a written complaint at the Superintendent of Police office and asked for help.

According to the complaint, Mukku alias Mukesh and Sunil Raikwar, both residents of Raniganj area, received a rough diamond weighing 4.85 carats from a diamond trader on March 17, 2025.

The diamond, worth around ₹1.33 lakh, was taken with a proper bill. The two then gave it to their friend Ankit Raikwar (son of Purushottam Lal Raikwar) to sell.

They said Ankit had promised to return the diamond within a week if he failed to sell it. But after seeing the shine and value of the diamond, Ankit allegedly became greedy and started avoiding them.

When they asked about the diamond, Ankit told them that he went to Mahoba to sell it, but police there had seized it.

However, when the victims checked with Mahoba police, they were told no such case had been reported.

Now, the victims say Ankit is threatening them and using abusive language when they ask for the diamond.

They have requested the police to take action and help them get their valuable diamond back.
