Israel-Iran Conflict LIVE: Trump Warns Iran—Make Peace Now Or Face ‘Far Greater’ Strikes
Tensions in the Middle East have taken a dramatic turn, as U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday that American forces carried out targeted airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. The announcement came as Israel intensified its offensive, striking an Iranian nuclear research site overnight and killing three senior Iranian commanders in precision operations.
The escalation has raised fears of a prolonged and potentially wider conflict. Israel’s military has signaled that it is preparing for a long-term campaign, even as calls for restraint grow louder on the international stage.
In a stern warning, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi cautioned against further U.S. involvement, stating it would be “very, very dangerous for everyone.” His statement underscored growing concerns about direct confrontation between two global powers in an already volatile region.
As violence continues to ripple across borders, evacuation efforts have gained urgency. The Indian Embassy in Tehran confirmed it is working to assist citizens of Nepal and Sri Lanka who are seeking to leave Iran, following requests from their respective governments. Late Friday night, a flight from Mashhad brought home 290 Indian students — many from Jammu and Kashmir — to Delhi’s IGI Airport. Two more flights from Mashhad are scheduled to arrive today, the first at 4:30 p.m. and the second at 11:30 p.m., both landing at Terminal 3.
Meanwhile, the human toll continues to climb.
In the Iranian city of Qom, a missile strike on a residential building killed two people and left four others injured, according to Iranian state media. Qom is situated near the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant, one of the sites targeted by U.S. bombers. Over in Israel, CNN reported a large blaze engulfing a multi-storey apartment building in Holon, a suburb south of Tel Aviv.
Since the beginning of hostilities, Iran’s Health Ministry reports at least 430 fatalities, with many more injured. In Israel, authorities say 24 civilians have lost their lives, as reported by Reuters.
