There are numerous actors in Bollywood, who have achieved name and fame after several challenges. Rajpal Yadav is one such actor. While captivating audiences with his exceptional comic timing and fantastic performances, the actor had to go through a lot of hardships to carve his own place in the film industry.

Rajpal Yadav’s personal life, struggles

Born in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Yadav from the very beginning wanted to achieve something big in life. His initial dreams were to join Indian Army, but got rejected due to his height. Later, he was forced to work as a tailor to support his family.

At the age of 20, a tragedy stuck in his personal life. His first wife passed away due to complications during the birth of their daughter. In an earlier interview, the actor revealed that how difficult was it for him to overcome this heart-breaking loss. He was also worried how he would raise his new-born daughter all alone. But, with the unwavering support of his family, she never felt the absence of his mother.

Rajpal Yadav’s cinematic journey

After recovering from this personal tragedy, Yadav enrolled himself in the National School of Drama, marking the beginning of his acting journey. Thirteen years of hard work, dedication and perseverance finally paid off, when he secured a breakthrough role in Ram Gopal Varma’s Jungle (2020).

He then went on to cement his place in the industry with numerous hit comedies, including Hungama, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Malamaal Weekly, Dhol, Chup Chup Ke, Bhaagm Bhag, Khatta Meetha, and Hera-Pheri. In 2007, film Bhool Bhulaiyaa happened, which became a turning point in his career. He garnered immense appreciation for his portrayal of ‘Chhote Pandit’ in the horror-comedy drama.

In 2003, Rajpal Yadav fell in love again and got married to Radha. He often thanked his wife for her unwavering support, and also embracing his daughter as her own.
