Sunjay Kapur Death: Viral Video Shows Paramedics Performing CPR On Karisma Kapur's Ex-Husband Moments Before Declaring Him Dead
Businessman Sunjay Kapur, also the former husband of actress Karisma Kapoor, passed away on June 12 after suffering a heart attack while playing polo in the UK. And a video has now surfaced online in which paramedics can be seen giving him CPR moments after he suffered the attack.
In the video, the paramedics can be seen performing CPR on Sunjay while he lay still and unresponsive on the polo field. A chopper was also seen hovering near the spot of the incident. However, Sunjay could not be saved despite the best efforts of the paramedics and he succumbed on the field.
As per reports, Sunjay accidentally swallowed a bee while riding the horse during his polo game. The bee got stuck in his throat, which triggered panic, and it led to the fatal heart attack.
Sunjay's funeral was delayed due to certain legal formalities as he is an official citizen of the USA but died in the UK. He was cremated in the presence of his friends and family members in Delhi on June 19.
Karisma Kapoor, along with her kids Samaira and Kiaan, also attended the funeral. They were accompanied by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, who consoled the family as they teared up.
The five of them also attended Sunjay's prayer meet in Delhi on Sunday.
Sunjay got married to Karisma in 2003, but their marriage hit a rough patch soon after, and in 2016, they were officially granted divorce. During their divorce trial, Karisma had accused Sunjay of domestic abuse and she had even claimed that he had forced her to sleep with his friends on their honeymoon.
Sunjay later went on to marry Priya Sachdev, who was seen breaking down at the funeral. The two have a son together named Azarius.
