Industrialist and actress Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, died at the age of 53 in London due to cardiac arrest. Following his demise, Sunjay’s funeral was held in Delhi on June 19. And today (June 22), the prayer meet for Sunjay has been organised in Delhi. While family and friends gathered for the prayer meet, Karisma Kapoor, along with sister Kareena Kapoor and her husband Saif Ali Khan, also marked their presence. Videos from the prayer meet have surfaced online.
Sunjay Kapur’s prayer meeting was held at the Taj Palace Hotel between 4–5 p.m. Earlier in the day, Karisma, along with her and Sunjay’s kids, Samaira and Kiaan, were spotted at Mumbai’s airport. On Sunday evening, the family reached Delhi and was seen attending the prayer meet held at a well-known hotel. A concierge was seen escorting them to the prayer hall.

A video from inside the prayer hall shows several guests offering their respects. At the center, a large floral-framed photograph of Sunjay serves as the focal point for the tributes.
The family also released Sunjay’s prayer meeting notice, which has the names of his four children including Kiaan, Samaira, Azarias, and Safira Chatwal. Also, the name of current wife, Priya Sachdev, and his mother, Mrs. Surinder Kapur. However, the meeting notice did not have Sunjay’s two sisters, Superna Motwane and Mandira Kapur’s names.
About Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor’s Wedding
Sunjay and Karisma got married in an arranged marriage set-up. The two got married in 2003. However, soon after the wedding, Sunjay and Karisma faced a rough patch, and later in 2016, they parted ways. Sunjay and Karisma continued to co-parent their kids — Kiaan and Samaira.
