Chandigarh’s Karandeep finishes 2nd at golf tourney
City-based golfer Karandeep Kochhar finished second at the Asian Development Tour (ATD) Morocco Rising Stars Marrakech, in North Africa. He trailed Philippines’ Aidric Chan by a single stroke to miss out on the title.
Kochhar matched Chan’s 65 in bogey-free fashion, but missed a birdie putt on the 72nd hole. The misjudgment handed the victory to Chan. Starting the final round two shots off the lead, Chan mounted a charge on the back nine and posted a flawless 32 for a 7-under-par 65.
His four-day total of 18-under 270 prevailed over Kochhar by a single stroke. Kochhar ended his day with a four total of 17-under 271.
