UP: 13-Yr-Old Boy, Bathing Buffaloes In Ghaghara River, Dragged By Crocodile; Disturbing Incident Caught On Camera

Gonda: A shocking incident surfaced from Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district, where a crocodile dragged away a 13-year-old boy into the Ghaghara River on Sunday. According to reports, the boy, identified as Raja Babu alias Nan Yadav, took his buffaloes to the river to make them bathe.

Suddenly the crocodile appeared in the river and dragged away Yadav. The incident, which took place in Sonauli Mohammedpur village, was recorded on camera. Soon the video went viral on social media. In the viral footage, only the crocodile and the boy's head were visible.

Soon the crocodile disappeared into the river water. Authorities have launched a search operation to trace the boy. However, there are no reports of Yadav so far. The video also shows locals standing on the shore of the river. Panic gripped the locals after the incident.

It is reportedly the second such incident in the area within a month. Earlier, a crocodile dragged away another resident of Sonauli Mohhammedpur village resident. Notably, Munna Yadav had gone to the Saryu (Ghaghara) River to bathe buffaloes. Suddenly, the crocodile attacked Munna Yadav and dragged him into the river. After a few days, his body was recovered.

As per villages, crocodiles often come to the shore of the river in summers, due which there is an atmosphere of fear in the area.
