UNSC calls emergency meeting after US attacks on Iran, Pakistan leaves everyone shocked by…
New Delhi: After the US attack on Iran, an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) was called. It is reported that during this time many countries have criticized the attack and proposed to start ceasefire talks again. During this, Pakistan also supported the ceasefire. On Sunday, June 22, the USA attacked Iran and targeted three nuclear sites.
Immediate and unconditional ceasefire!
Media reports have quoted diplomats as saying that Russia, China and Pakistan have demanded an immediate and unconditional ceasefire proposal. At present, it is not clear when the draft will be voted on. Diplomats said that all three countries put forward their proposal.
The resolution requires at least nine votes to pass. Also, it should not be vetoed by the United States, France, Britain, Russia or China. The US is likely to oppose the draft resolution.
Iran’s warning
Iran has said that the US has “decided to close the path of diplomacy” by attacking the country’s nuclear installations, now the army will decide the timing, method and scale of retaliation to its attacks.
Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, said at an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Sunday that after the US attacks on its three nuclear installations, Iran had said that “Iran had repeatedly warned the war-mongering American regime not to get trapped in this quagmire.”
He said that the US has “decided to close the path of diplomacy” by attacking Iran’s nuclear centers and now Iran’s army will decide when the retaliation will be taken, what will be its nature and how it will be carried out. The Iranian ambassador said in the meeting, “We will take all necessary steps.”
