Navi Mumbai News: Newly Asphalted Seawoods Road Develops Cracks Within 15 Days; MNS Protests Poor NMMC Work With Satirical Poem, Gravel Sack

The recently asphalted road in Seawoods has developed cracks within just fifteen days, raising serious questions about the quality of roadwork undertaken by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC).

In protest, members of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS),  staged a sit-in demonstration at the NMMC headquarters.

As a mark of their dissent, the MNS delegation presented a satirical poem to Municipal Executive Engineer Madan Waghchaude, highlighting the poor condition of the roads. In a symbolic move, they also handed over a sack of gravel, alleging that gravel was used in place of proper asphalt during the roadwork.

The party condemned the substandard construction and demanded accountability from the civic authorities, citing that newly built roads in Navi Mumbai are developing potholes within weeks of completion.
