New Banking Charges from July 1: If you avail services related to HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, then these changes can affect you.

New Banking Charges from July 1: Some rules of private banks are going to change from July 1. ICICI Bank has changed its service charges regarding the charges levied on some transactions. At the same time, HDFC Bank has changed the terms related to its credit card. If you take the services of both these banks, then these changes can affect you.

Change in ICICI Bank’s ATM and IMPS charges: Know the new rates

ICICI Bank has changed the charges levied on ATM and IMPS transactions. If you are a customer of the bank and use the ATM of another bank, then after some transactions you will have to pay additional charges.

New charge on ATM transactions:

  • In metro cities: 3 transactions will be available free every month.
  • In non-metro (small) cities: 5 transactions will be free every month.
  • After this, if you withdraw money (financial transaction), then ₹ 23 will have to be paid per transaction. (Earlier it was ₹21)
  • If you just check balance or do other non-financial work, then ₹8.5 will be charged per transaction.

New charges on IMPS transactions:

Now, when you send money through Immediate Payment Service (IMPS), you will have to pay a fee based on the transaction amount:

  • Up to ₹1,000: ₹2.50 per transaction
  • ₹1,000 to ₹1 lakh: ₹5 per transaction
  • ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh: ₹15 per transaction

Note: All these charges are without tax, that is, tax will be added separately.

Charges on cash withdrawal

Customers get the facility of free cash withdrawal only three times every month. After this, a fee of ₹150 will have to be paid every time you withdraw cash. If you withdraw more than ₹1 lakh in a month, then you will have to pay a charge of ₹3.5 or ₹150 (whichever is higher) for every ₹1,000.

Charges on Debit Card

  • The annual fee for a normal debit card is ₹300.
  • For customers in rural areas, the annual charge is ₹150.
  • If the card is lost or damaged, a fee of ₹300 will have to be paid for getting a new card.

New charges on ICICI Bank services

  • Now if you make a cash deposit, check deposit, demand draft or pay order in ICICI Bank, then a fee of ₹2 will be charged for every ₹1,000.
  • In this, a minimum charge of ₹50 and a maximum of ₹15,000 can be levied in one transaction.

New policy of HDFC Bank

  • If you spend more than ₹10,000 every month on gaming apps like Dream11, MPL using HDFC Bank credit card, then you will have to pay 1% extra charge. This charge will be limited to ₹4,999 per month and reward points will not be available on these transactions.
  • Similarly, if you deposit more than ₹ 10,000 in a month in third party wallets like Paytm, Mobikwik, Freecharge, Ola Money, then a fee of 1% will be levied on that too, the maximum limit of which will also be ₹ 4,999 per month.

Charges on rent, fuel and bill payments too

  • If you pay rent using a credit card, a 1% fee will be charged on every transaction, with a maximum limit of ₹4,999 per month.
  • An additional 1% fee will be charged if you spend more than ₹15,000 on fuel.
  • If you pay utility bills (electricity-water-gas) of more than ₹50,000, a 1% charge will be levied on that too.
