Rishabh Pant's Century Sets Unmatched Record In Indian Cricket History
Rishabh Pant has etched his name in the record books by becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper to score centuries in both innings of a Test match on English soil. Known for his fearless batting, Pant showcased discipline and flair in equal measure, dominating the England bowlers across both innings.
In the first innings, he scored a quickfire 134 off 126 balls, while in the second, he brought up his century in 130 balls, laced with 13 fours and 2 sixes.
Joins Elite Wicketkeeper List
Pant’s seventh Test century now places him among the world’s top wicketkeeper-batsmen, surpassing legends like Kumar Sangakkara, BJ Watling, Matt Prior, and AB de Villiers, all of whom had six Test tons.

Strong Partnerships, Crucial Stand
Pant, who is serving as vice-captain in this series, has stepped up in the absence of senior players. He shared a 100+ stand with Shubman Gill in the first innings and followed it with a 182-run partnership with KL Rahul in the second.
India, with a 280+ run lead on Day 4, are eyeing a massive target to challenge England on the final day. While a draw remains a possibility, Pant’s heroics have kept India in the driver’s seat.
