Aamir Khan’s much-awaited release Sitaare Zameen Par saw a steady run in collections over the weekend due to positive word-of-mouth from the audience. However, as per the latest updates by Sacnilk, the film witnessed a drop on its first Monday test, earning only Rs 8.27 crore. The total toll now stands at Rs 66.65 crore in India.
Sitaare Zameen Par surpasses Aamir Khan’s previous releases
On day 4, the film had 8.73% morning occupancy, 17.24% in afternoon, 23.20% in evening shows and night shows saw 27.42% occupancy. Despite the major dip, Sitaare Zameen Par managed to surpass Aamir Khan’s previous releases , Laal Singh Chaddha (2024), which collected Rs 61.36 crore and Rang De Basanti (2006) which overall collected Rs 52.91 crore net in India.
In terms of worldwide collection, Aamir Khan’s sports drama managed to earn Rs 97.5 crore in just three days, and is all set to embark towards the Rs 100 crore mark.

Apart from Aamir, Sitaare Zameen stars a fresh ensemble cast including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. Genelia D’Souza portrays the role of Aamir’s wife in family entertainer.
The film’s heart-touching narrative and soulful music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, has further enhanced its appeal. Actors like Ritesh Deshmukh and Mahesh Babu, along with veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, have also lauded the film for its emotional impact.
