Meet Amit Damani, a school teacher who started his own business, turned Rs 5 crore venture to Rs 1400000000 empire, his business is…, net worth…
New Delhi: Amit Damani, a former Mumbai school teacher, has transformed his family villa into a business worth Rs 110 crore. In 2015, Amit co-founded Stay Vista along with Ankita Sheth and Pranav Maheshwari. Today, the company offers over 500 luxury villas in more than 50 locations in India. In this article, we will look into Amit Damani’s journey to success.
How it all started:
Amit Damani, along with Ankita Sheth and Pranav Maheshwari, co-founded Stay Vista in 2015. During the initial days, the company was called Vista Rooms. It collaborated with small hotels and homes to offer rooms on rent. In 2017, Amit transformed Vista Rooms into Stay Vista, shifting the focus to luxury villas.
According to Amit, the idea came from his family’s villa located in Lonavala. Lonavala is 83 kilometers from Mumbai. Amit’s grandmother, who is from Varanasi, moved to Mumbai after marriage. Before marriage, she used to live in large houses with spacious open lawns. That was difficult to find in Mumbai. So, Amit’s grandfather built a villa for her in the beautiful hill town of Lonavala.
Amit decided to talk to her grandmother before renting out the villa. He explained to her that the property would remain with them, but it would be well-maintained and also generate income. She agreed. As the idea grew, their relatives, friends, and acquaintances registered their properties with StayVista under management contracts. In this way, a successful network of villas was built.
