New Delhi: The 14th game of the current Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025, which happened on Tuesday, June 24, at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, saw San Francisco Unicorns going head to head with MI New York. The seasoned all-rounder Kieron Pollard also took a lot of limelight as the two teams engaged in a fight.
Interestingly, that game against the San Francisco Unicorns was the 700 th match in the glorious career of Kieron Pollard. Being broadly accepted as a top all-rounder of his time played for West Indies, Pollard is also demonstrating how committed and passionate he is to his work, playing with the same zeal with MI New York in the current MLC.
Interestingly, Kieron Pollard had already scored 13,634 runs the average of 31.34 by the time he had played his 700th T20 bats. He has also contributed greatly with the ball, taking 326 wickets at an economy of 8.26 runs, a sign of his brilliance as an all round player in the format.
Talking about the match between San Francisco Unicorns and MI New York, the match began when the Unicorns lost the toss and were put to bat first. The top two batsmen provided them with an out-of-the-ground start with Matthew Short blasting a masterful 91 and Tim Seifert chipping in to help them with a deadly 26, which formed a solid base to their batting.
To add to the firecracker-start of the Unicorns, Jake Fraser-McGurke performed a stunning innings, slamming 64 runs in only 26 balls. Sanjay Krishnamurthi was not bowled out on 27 and Hassan Khan also contributed a rapid-fire 31 not out. All thanks to the supreme batting prowess of all of them, the San Francisco Unicorns amassed a mammoth 246 runs in the opening innings, this was the second-highest ever team total in MLC history.
