Madhya Pradesh June 24 Weather Update: Brace Yourselves! Heavy Rain Alert In 24 Districts Including Bhopal, Indore

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): As the state is on the onset of monsoon, IMD (Indian Metrological Department) has predicted widespread rain across 24 districts including Gwalior, Bhopal and Indore on Tuesday.

The weather department issued a red alert in Shivpuri-Sheopur region on Tuesday with the rainfall potentially exceeding 8 inches in 24 hours. Meanwhile, an orange alert and yellow alert has been issued across 24 districts including Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Jabalpur divisions.

According to the weather department, Gwalior, Guna, Ashoknagar Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Pandhurna and Balaghat may may receive up to 4 inches of rain.

Shivpuri received the maximum rainfall

On Monday, Shivpuri received the maximum rainfall at 2 inches, followed by Naugaon and Narsinghpur at 1.25 inches. Several other districts including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Narmadapuram, Damoh, Jabalpur witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall.

Active cyclonic circulation

According to a senior weatherman, due to an active cyclonic circulation and a trough passing over the state, intense rain is predicted for next four days in several divisions.

Weather for next two days

25 June: Heavy rain is predicted in Vidisha, Raisen, Pandhurna, Balaghat. There is an alert of heavy rain in Ratlam, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Ujjain, Betul, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla. There is a yellow alert for rain in other parts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur.

26 June: Shajapur, Guna, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Betul, Seoni, Balaghat, Dindori, Anuppur, Umaria, Shahdol, Sidhi and Singrauli might witness intense rain. Rain will continue in the remaining districts as well.
