Iran Missile Attack Kills 4 People In Israel's Be'er Sheva Amid Ceasefire Talks (VIDEO)

Tel Aviv: At least four people lost their lives in Israel’s Be’er Sheva after an Iranian ballistic missile hit an apartment on Tuesday. Several others were also reported to be injured in the missile attack. Iran launched a missile attack against Israel amid talks of a ceasefire between the two nations.

Sirens were sounded in Israel due to a missile launch from Iran, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in an X post. The IDF also confirmed that Iran launched three missiles within an hour on Tuesday morning.

The Iranian attacks came hours after United States President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire with Iran. Trump claimed that Israel and Iran had agreed to a "complete and total ceasefire" soon after Iran launched a limited missile attack Monday on a US military base in Qatar, retaliating for the American bombing of its nuclear sites.

In response to the US President's ceasefire announcement, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that there was no ceasefire. "As of now, there is NO agreement' on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations," Araghchi wrote in a post on the social platform X.

"However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards." His message was posted at 4:16 am Tehran time.

"The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later." The exact terms of the ceasefire other than the timeline provided by the Trump administration remained to be seen," the Iranian Foreign Minister said.

On June 13, Israel launched 'Operation Rising Lion' against Iran targeting its nuclear and military installations. Iran also retaliated with barrages of missiles on Israel. The war intensified after the US bombed three nuclear sites in Iran. In response, Tehran attacked Washington's military bases in Qatar and Iraq.
