'Can't Kill My Father...': Haryana Man Dies By Suicide After Wife Sends Obscene Dance Video With Lover, Alleges Harassment In Last Video

A man from Rohtak district in Haryana recorded a video accusing his wife and her alleged boyfriend of harassment before dying by suicide. The deceased, identified as Magan, also known as Ajay, a resident of Dobh village in Rohtak, alleged infidelity in the video and claimed that his wife and her lover were pressuring him to kill his father so they could sell a piece of land.

According to reports, Magan’s wife sent him a video of herself engaging in an obscene act with her boyfriend, which allegedly drove him to take the extreme step.

Magan’s family has claimed that Divya, the deceased’s wife, sent him explicit videos, causing him to fall into depression. Distraught over the situation, Magan hanged himself last week.

The purported video shows Divya performing an obscene dance while a man, presumably her boyfriend, records her.

In his video statement, Magan detailed the ordeal he faced, alleging that his wife and her lover, Deepak, mentally tortured him and demanded money. Deepak, reportedly from Maharashtra’s Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), is said to be a police officer.

Magan called for strict action against his harassers and expressed his wish for his son’s custody to be granted to his parents. He also revealed that Divya had been married to another man before marrying him.

Magan’s body was found hanging from a tree in his village on 18 June.

In the video, Magan said,"I, Magan, am ending my life because of my wife Divya and her boyfriend Deepak, who is from Aurangabad (Sambhajinagar) and works in the police. Both of them have tormented me relentlessly. They keep demanding money from me. Today, they are together in a room in Igatpuri, telling me to kill my father and sell the land in my name to buy property in Mumbai. I cannot do this, so I am taking my own life."

He further revealed that he was pressured to fund Deepak’s promotion,"Deepak needed Rs 5 lakh for his promotion and forced me to pay. I sold wheat worth Rs 1.5 lakh and gave the money to Divya. On 9 July, I mortgaged my gold bracelet with a jeweller and transferred Rs 2 lakh into Divya’s account. A record of the transactions is kept at our home. Now they are demanding another Rs 1.5 lakh and telling me to kill my father… Because of these two, I am ending my life."

Magan also disclosed Divya’s past marriage, "Divya was already married to someone in Mumbai, which I discovered after a year and a half. At the time, she was pregnant. A lawyer advised me that since she married me under Hindu law without divorcing her first husband, she could be jailed if I left her. Still, I took no action and settled the matter quietly. Now, there is this third man, Deepak, with whom she is involved… I want justice."
