Nashik Roads Crumble As Monsoon Sets In; Commuters, Auto Drivers Raise Alarm (PHOTOS)

Potholes on roads across Nashik city have caused severe inconvenience to commuters, with the situation worsening since the onset of the monsoon.

Areas such as College Road, Gangapur Road, Trimbak Road, Dream Castle, Panchavati, Cidco and surrounding localities have reported deteriorating road conditions, forcing motorists to travel under hazardous circumstances.

Local resident Suraj Patil said, “Every day while going to the office on a two-wheeler, there is a risk of an accident due to potholes. The roads have become even worse due to the rains at night.”

Several citizens also shared accounts of vehicle damage and minor injuries resulting from the poor condition of the roads.

The autorickshaw drivers’ association has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the state of roads and criticised the administration for its apathy.

Citizens have taken to social media to share photographs of potholes and questioned the Nashik Municipal Corporation’s handling of road maintenance and infrastructure.
