Driver Trapped in Truck Dangling From Collapsed Bridge In China Landslide
A terrifying video of a large truck, with the driver stuck inside, hanging over a collapsed bridge after a landslide in China's Guizhou has surfaced. In the video, the person filming can be heard saying the driver, There’s no mobile signal and advises him to wait for the fire department to arrive for the rescue. The video is of Tuesday, 24 June.
Reportedly, the truck driver was later rescued. According to Reuters, an investigation into the matter is ongoing. The Houzi River Bridge collapsed around 7:40 a.m. due to a landslide after heavy rain. Multiple rivers in Guizhou burst their banks after days of rain as the East Asia monsoon intensified.
More rainfall is forecast in the coming days, with meteorologists warning provinces like Guizhou, affected by overlapping storms, to remain vigilant.
