Urgent need to complete Doda sports stadium

Sir,
Through your esteemed daily, I wish to express deep concern over the inordinate delay in completing the Doda Sports Stadium. Launched in 2006 with great hopes, the project still lies incomplete after nearly two decades. Despite multiple fund allocations and assurances, the site remains a symbol of neglect, with basic facilities like turf, lighting, and seating still pending.
This delay is not merely administrative failure-it is a betrayal of the region’s youth. Aspiring athletes are forced to train in substandard conditions, severely hampering their growth and morale. Promises made to uplift sports infrastructure must not be reduced to hollow rhetoric.
It is high time the authorities treated such initiatives as essential investments, not optional extras. Doda’s youth deserve a functional stadium and the opportunity to shine. Words must now be matched with swift, visible action.
