Neha Murder Case: Accused Taufiq Arrested After Throwing Woman Off 5th Floor in Delhi

The police have arrested Taufiq, the man accused of killing 22-year-old Neha by allegedly throwing her off the fifth floor of a residential building in Delhi's Jyoti Nagar.

The accused was arrested from Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh where he had been hiding since the incident.

According to police officials, the accused fled the crime scene immediately after the attack and had been on the run for days. Multiple police teams were deployed to trace his location, eventually tracking him down in Rampur.

The horrifying incident occurred when Taufiq, reportedly wearing a burqa to conceal his identity, entered Neha’s home and confronted her family. Neha’s father alleged that the accused forcefully entered their home, pushed him aside, and then attacked Neha. She was critically injured in the fall and rushed to GTB Hospital, where she later died during treatment.

As per the victim's family, Neha and Taufiq knew each other and she used to tie him a rakhi, treating him as a brother. However, she had recently severed ties with him—a decision that allegedly triggered repeated harassment and threats from Taufiq.

The family claimed that despite Neha cutting off all contact, the accused continued to stalk and threaten her. Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation to determine the full sequence of events and the motive behind the brutal act.

Taufiq, originally from Moradabad, now faces serious charges including murder, trespassing, and criminal intimidation.
