CBSE has released the revised skill module for classes 6, 7 and 8. Many new courses have also been added. Baking, coding etc. are included in it. Let’s know what will be taught to the students?
CBSE Notice: A big update has come out for the students of classes 6, 7 and 8. The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the skill module. In this, information has been given about those skill subjects which will be taught in CBSE affiliated schools in the academic session 2025-26. The syllabus will be based on NCERT. Guidelines have also been issued. Which will have to be followed by teachers and school administration.
CBSE has included 3 new courses related to Artificial Intelligence this year. Earlier there was only one syllabus/handbook for students of classes 6 to 8. But now there will be material for all three classes, it includes AI 901A, 901B and 901C. Students and parents can download the list of these subjects by visiting the official website cbseacademic.nic.in.
Why is skill course necessary?
All the courses included in this list are of short duration. They can be completed in a few hours. Skill subjects were introduced during the Corona epidemic. Its aim is to promote practical and vocational skills in the field of education. So that students can understand about real world applications along with theory. Apart from this, students also get career related guidance. The gap between practical and theory is also reduced.

CBSE offers 18 skill courses related to beauty and wellness to students. To promote computers and technology, the board is offering courses like AI, coding, rocket, satellite. Many subjects related to designing, art and handicrafts are included in it. A course named Humanity and Covid-19 Blue is also available. Students interested in the media sector can choose subjects like mass media, skill manual, photography.
How to download skill module
First of all go to the official website www.cbse.gov.in. Click on the link of the academic portal on the homepage. Now choose the option of skill education. A complete list of skill courses will appear on the screen. Click on the relevant link for syllabus and guidelines.
