Railway New Fares List: A big update has come from the railway department. It is reported that the railway has increased the ticket price of coaches from sleeper to AC class. One paisa has been increased for non-AC and two paisa for AC class. Let us know how much money you will have to pay now to travel from Delhi to Patna, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mumbai by train.

Railway New Fares List: Railways is the favorite mode of transport of the middle class. Because long journeys can be completed in less money. Today the middle class has got a big shock from the railways. Railways have increased the ticket prices from AC class to non-AC class. These new prices will be applicable from July 1, 2025.

If you travel by train, then now you will have to pay more money for the ticket. Most people live away from their homes in big cities like Delhi for work. They return to their homes on leave or during festivals. From July 1, now you will have to pay more money for the ticket. The calculation given below will help in understanding this increase.

We have taken sleeper and third AC coaches in the calculation below. We have taken some selected cities below. Let’s understand the complete calculation.

Calculation formula

Distance x 0.02= increase in fare

Delhi to Patna

The minimum distance from New Delhi to Patna Junction is 983.26 km. This means that now you will have to pay 9.8 rupees more. Railways has increased the fare by 1 paisa per kilometer. Till now, one had to pay 510 rupees for travelling from Delhi to Patna in sleeper class, which will increase to 519.8 rupees.

Two paise have been increased for AC class. Earlier, one had to pay 1350 rupees to travel from Delhi to Patna. Now one will have to pay 1369.6 rupees. 27 rupees have been increased for AC class.

Delhi to Prayagraj

Similarly, the minimum distance by train from Delhi to Prayagraj is 635 km. Earlier you had to pay Rs 390 for sleeper class, now you will have to pay Rs 396.35.

Similarly, earlier you had to pay Rs 1020 for third AC, now you will have to pay Rs 1032.7.

Delhi to Lucknow

The distance from Delhi to Lucknow in a normal train is 596 km. Which means that the sleeper class fare has increased by Rs 5.96. Earlier you had to pay Rs 325 to travel in sleeper, now you will have to pay Rs 330.96. Similarly, earlier you had to pay Rs 835 for third AC, now you will have to pay Rs 846.92.

Delhi to Mumbai

The minimum distance by train from Delhi to Mumbai is 1331 km. So, now you will have to pay Rs 13.31 more to travel in sleeper class. Earlier the ticket price of sleeper class used to be Rs 620, now it has become Rs 633.31.

Similarly, the price of third AC used to be Rs 1630, now it will become Rs 1656.
