ACME Sikar Solar inks pact to supply electricity from 300MW project in Rajasthan

NEW DELHI, June 25:

ACME Solar Holdings on Wednesday said its arm ACME Sikar Solar has signed a power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India for the supply of electricity from a 300MW solar project in Rajasthan.

This agreement comes after ACME Sikar commissioned its 300 MW capacity on June 23, a company statement said.

ACME Sikar Solar Private Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd, has executed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 300 MW capacity in Rajasthan at a fixed tariff of Rs 3.05 per kWh, according to the statement.

The bid was won earlier under SECI’s ISTS XVIII Tranche, and the tariff was formally adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on 30th May 2025.

As per the agreement, the project is required to supply power on or before June 30, 2025.

The project also qualifies for an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) charges waiver, as its Scheduled Commercial Operations Date (SCOD) falls before June 2025 deadline, aligning with the government incentives aimed at early operationalisation of renewable energy projects.

With this milestone, ACME Solar’s PPA-signed portfolio stands at 5,130 MW, of which 2,890 MW is already operational, and the rest is at various stages of implementation.

Additionally, the company has a firm pipeline of 1,840 MW for which it has received Letter of Award (LOA). ACME Solar’s overall portfolio comprises 86 per cent offtake with central government enterprises and the remaining 14 per cent is with State discoms.

ACME Solar Holdings is a leading integrated renewable energy player with a diversified portfolio of 6,970 MW spanning solar, wind, FDRE and hybrid solutions.

With this milestone, the operational capacity of ACME Solar stands at 2,890 MW with another 4,080 MW in various stages of implementation.  (PTI)
