BSNL Announces Portal For Doostep Delivery Of SIM Cards: Here’s How To Order

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced doorstep delivery of SIM cards in India. The telecom company has unveiled a new portal that will allow users to port existing number into BSNL or activate a new connection from home. BSNL has launched a new dedicated webpage for this home service. The webpage asks users to fill a customer registration form that asks for details like preferred connection type, alternate number, pincode, and name. It is now allowing users to do self KYC and delivering SIM cards at doorsteps.

The new doorstep delivery of SIM cards service can be utilised for a family or relative as well, BSNL says. This is especially beneficial for those who cannot move out of home, or for kids who want to buy a new SIM card for their parents. After filling in all the necessary information on the new portal, an OTP will be sent to the alternate number. BSNL has said that users can call the toll free number 1800-180-1503 for any assistance regarding order placement of new SIM.

The new webpage for ordering of new BSNL SIM can be found here. "Get Secure affordable and reliable BSNL SIM online through Self KYC/BSNL delivery based ekyc for your New BSNL number or Port in your existing number in BSNL,” BSNL said on its website.

BSNL recently announced the soft launch of BSNL Quantum 5G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access). BSNL is the first Indian operator to showcase a production-grade SIM-less 5G service, which is built on BSNL's Direct-to-Device platform so the customer's CPE auto-authenticates - no physical SIM required.
