New Expressway: The Maharashtra government announced the construction of Shaktipeeth Expressway after the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. This expressway was approved in the cabinet meeting and funds of more than 20 thousand crores were approved for it. This expressway is very special because it will be the longest expressway in the country to be built within a single state. Earlier, the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway and UP’s Prayag Expressway were the longest. Through this expressway, one can reach Goa directly from Nagpur and it will be 805 km long in total. The government plans to complete the entire journey of this expressway in 8 hours. In this way, people will cover a distance of 800 km in just 8 hours.

This expressway, which will take you from Eastern Maharashtra to Konkan and directly to Goa, will connect 12 districts. This is expected to speed up the development of many backward districts of Maharashtra including Vidarbha. Currently, if you want to go to Goa by road from Nagpur, it takes 18 hours, which will be reduced to just 8 hours. In this way, this expressway will save 10 hours of time.
